Caroline Douglas: The Secret Language of Dreams
October 25 – January 16, 2022
@ Frasier

Caroline Douglas’ whimsical ceramic sculptures and mixed media paintings invited viewers on an imaginative journey inside the artist’s subconscious. Her practice has been referred to as “magic realism” in reference to her work’s connection to fantasy, mythology, and the art of ancient cultures. The Secret Language of Dreams takes inspiration from the artist’s home, using pieces of Douglas’ furniture to display artwork amongst other sources of inspiration from her everyday life.

BMoCA at Frasier is a collaboration between Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art and Frasier Retirement Community. Curated by BMoCA, this series of exhibitions in The Canyons Gallery is an extension of the museum’s exhibition schedule. Each exhibition is complemented by a series of education programs.
