Showing: Public Programs

Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art in collaboration with Jefferson County Libraries is pleased to offer SPARK! Programs at multiple library branches.

Virtual Studio Tours are 30 min interactive programs that explore local contemporary artist studios. Artists take viewers behind the scenes of their studio practice with insights into their processes, inspirations and artwork.

This program is presented by Grupo Folklórico Sabor Latino and was selected by a panel comprised of the family members of Los Seis and facilitator Sylvia Montero as part of the free public programming that complements exhibition, an exhibition that honors the history of Los Seis de Boulder.

Melinda Laz, the Outreach & Education Manager from BMoCA will share information about the SPARK! program, give a presentation featuring a few of the artists and exhibitions on view at BMoCA, and lead a a simple art activity for participants to try, inspired by artists on view in the exhibition.

SPARK! is a series of programs specifically designed to make BMoCA’s art exhibitions accessible for people with early-stage Alzheimer’s or dementia and their caregivers.
