Hands-on Workshop with Richard Stephenson

Saturday July 27 – 1:00-2:00pm

Create your own cyanotype print in a guided workshop with exhibiting artist Richard Stephenson. These cyanotype prints – also referred to as solar prints, or blueprints – capture an isolated moment in time and are created from the shadows cast by objects onto a page. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to meet and work directly with Stephenson and create two 5×10 prints to take home. All materials will be provided.

About Richard Stephenson
Richard Stephenson is a Boulder native, artist, and Professor Emeritus at Regis University in Denver best known for his sculpture. Stephenson’s work illustrates the interplay between three dimensions and two dimensions using light and shadow. Recently, he has made cyanotype prints of his delicate wooden sculptures.
