SOLD OUT: Painting With Plants, August 28th

Saturday August 28 – 11:00am-1:00pm

This floral workshop is inspired by BMoCA’s Summer Exhibition, The Stubborn Influence of Painting. All materials will be provided. Presented in partnership with Boulder Blooms.

Bringing together a diverse group of nine artists from across the U.S. and London, this exhibition examines how the history of painting acts as a silent collaborator in the work of artists who create in other mediums. The influence of painting connects these artists directly and indirectly, establishing common ground in unexpected ways.

The works on view include photography, textiles, ceramics, video, and mixed-media constructions.

Exhibiting Artists include: Philip V. Augustin, peter campus, Naomi Cohn, Steven Frost, Alexandra Hedison, Nikolai Ishchuk, Garry Noland, Gelah Penn, and Altoon Sultan.

About Boulder Blooms
Boulder Blooms is an eco-conscious, woman-owned and operated business nestled in the foothills of the Rockies. They are a full-service flower shop serving daily flower delivery needs, as well as weddings and events. Since 1999, they have been providing Boulder Valley with high-quality, eclectic flower designs.

Boulder Blooms’ team is creative, full of diverse talent, and no stranger to a challenge. They are familiar with the climate and geography of Colorado, which often comes into play with weddings, elopements, and events at venues across the state. This expertise and experience proves valuable in selecting flowers and design styles for any particular event, as well as offering recommendations for styling or location.

Boulder Blooms puts an emphasis on community and supports local artisans and flower growers whenever possible. They carry local gifts and hand-crafted goods to complement flower designs. The Colorado growing season (April-October) brings in fresh and unique local flowers from various farms, though they stay stocked with gorgeous blooms year-round. Be sure to keep up with the seasonal flower designs throughout the year to see the amazing arrangements!
