Create Your Own Monotype Artwork with Professor Melanie Yazzie

In partnership with Studio Arts Boulder, BMoCA is thrilled to bring University of Colorado Professor Melanie Yazzie to the museum to teach the process of creating monotypes.

Join us for this hands on workshop and bring home your own monotype ready for your wall. No previous experience necessary, and all materials will be provided.

Melanie Yazzie is a Professor and Head of Printmaking in the Art & Art History department at the University of Colorado, Boulder. As a printmaker, painter, and sculptor, Ms. Yazzie’s work draws upon her rich Diné (Navajo) cultural heritage, and her work has been exhibited widely, both in the United States and abroad. Her work is in the Phippen Art Museum, The Australian National Gallery and the Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design, Print Collection, Providence, and can always be found at the Glenn Green Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
