BMoCA in collaboration with square product theatre is pleased to present a pre-mortem presentation and conversation with Michelle Ellsworth, in preparation for the Colorado premiere of her newest work, Clytigation.
Clytigation is a multi-media performance and installation incorporating a box, a bike, and a coin operated choreography generator. Across multiple platforms, Ellsworth demonstrates her “over-the-counter counter-terrorism” protocols for avoiding surveillance and interpersonal drama. Using an ancient text and modern technology, Clytigation investigates the impact of wars on bodies and legal protocols.
What does any of that mean? Come to the presentation and find out. Probably. Maybe.
Clytigation will make its Colorado premiere in the ATLAS Black Box on the CU Boulder campus October 9 and 10, 2015 as part of the CMAP season, and is funded by the New England Foundation for the Arts’ National Dance Project, Creative Capital, CU Boulder (A&S and GCAH), and the Boulder County Arts Alliance.
