Brady Dollyhigh is a painter living and working in Denver, Colorado. His work is primarily concerned with the nature of human perception and the ways an object and/or and image informs and transforms the human thought process. Each work is seen as a part of an ongoing experiment documenting the ways a human relates to their experiences, memories, and the physical environment around them. Having avoided art school as a whole, Dollyhigh is self taught through the continued practice of working directly from life as well as studying the work of known masters regularly and quite intensely. Although very young (20 years old), Dollyhigh has had a solo exhibition at the Lakewood Cultural Center where he showed illustrations representing unbroken continuous trains of thought. Since switching focus completely, Dollyhigh has somewhat avoided showing paintings aside from a few minor group shows. Now, having a greater mastery and a more effective means of communicating through paint, Dollyhigh looks to begin sharing his ongoing experiments.
