“My paintings represent still moments and situations in life that we may overlook. The figures that I paint are easily accessible and focus primarily on the individual. Getting rid of all distractions the audience can focus on the human. My current series of works are a dialogue with Cuban culture. Each painting is a simplistic scene in a complicated and confusing urban environment. The themes of my work focus mainly on isolation and closeness to others. I work primarily with oils on canvas.”
