Julio Alejandro is a self-taught artist who lives and works in Denver, CO. Born in 1991 in Juarez, Mexico, Julio is primarily a painter, though he has dabbled in sculpture and performance. He is known for reproducing art historical narratives and subverting them using play expressed through his signature spontaneous, child-like linework. Julio is represented by Black Book Gallery and has just completed his fifth solo exhibition there.
