Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art’s education programs include seven different programs that currently serve over 7,500 people annually. Taught at the museum, and in schools and libraries across the Denver-metro area, these free programs work to expand access to all the benefits and joys of learning through artistic expression.
As BMoCA looks to the future it strives to increase the positive impact of art on the community, ambitiously setting the goal to double the number of people reached with its arts education programs to 15,000 people. The focus of these efforts will be on delivering arts education to K-12 youth in schools, particularly those schools designated as Title 1 which serve a high percentage of children from low-income families.
To jumpstart these efforts, BMoCA presents the inaugural Afield. Proceeds from this farm-to-table dinner will expand BMoCA’s outreach education programs, and Chef Grant Buchanan of GB Culinary in partnership with Oxford Gardens, will create a night of food, art, and senses inspired by the artwork of students currently participating in BMoCA’s art education programs.
Spend a summer evening with BMoCA, and join us for this fabulous event!
