Tours
Looking for engaging ways to teach and incorporate contemporary art into your classroom? Bring your students or group to BMoCA for a guided tour. Read below for more information about BMoCA tours and programs offered to schools, nonprofits and community groups.
School Tours & Workshops
BMoCA educators can customize tours or workshops to meet the specific needs of your curriculum or program. Tours are available for children and families, homeschool and youth groups and adult groups of all ages. School trips may be booked during school hours, including on Mondays when the museum is closed to the general public.
Contemporary Classroom
This two part art education experience may be offered either on site at the museum or in your own classroom. Program includes an engaging discussion about the artists and artwork on view at the museum, followed by a hands-on-art-making activity led by our trained artist/educators. Reach out to our education department at education@bmoca.org to learn if your school qualifies for free programming based on your school’s location.
Admission & Workshop Fees
$2 per person, free on Saturdays and Wednesdays during the Farmer’s Markets on 13th Street. Some groups may qualify for reduced rates. Classes and workshops vary.
General Docent-led Tours
Guided tours are led by museum docents and visitor services staff—all of which have received special training around each BMoCA exhibition. Tours last approximately 30-45 minutes.
Select Saturdays in the Summer:
June 17, July 1, 15, 29, August 12 & 26, 2023. Two tour times @ 11 am & Noon.
