The museum is committed to providing area educators with additional resources for incorporating contemporary art into the classroom. Whether you are planning to bring a school group, a home school group, or simply have students visit our online gallery, we can provide you with additional learning materials to enhance the impact of contemporary art within your curriculum. School Tours & Workshops
Let our museum educators help you organize a tour for your school group and enhance the impact of contemporary art within your curriculum.
Contemporary Classroom brings BMoCA’s exhibitions to your classroom with two exciting components: a visiting artist and a hands-on, art-making workshop. Available to take place in your classroom or at the museum, and adaptable to all grade levels. Curriculum areas: Visual Arts, Social Studies, Economics, Technology.
Art Stop on the Go:
Art Stop on the Go invites youth to participate in literature-based art projects that foster hands-on exploration. BMoCA’s Museum Educator reads excerpts from a popular children’s book aloud as the starting point for an art project before engaging the class in an open dialog that encourages them to think critically about the book. The Museum Educator then begins a hands-on art exercise, connecting the project to the book and the broader conversation.
