Amber Cobb: The Dreamer's Dilemma

Artist Amber Dawn Cobb transformed BMoCA’s Present Box with an immersive installation inviting viewers to explore the psychological landscape of her dreamlike environment filled with color, light, and glitter. The inhabitant of this world is a surreal and imposing pink horse, for Cobb a symbol of freedom, strength, and beauty.

Launched in the summer of 2011, Present Box is a series of temporary exhibitions featured in BMoCA’s lounge. Present Box exhibits innovative installations, performances, and events that last no longer than two weeks. These exhibitions present site-specific projects that foster interactive participation. Present Box exhibitions are always free and open to the public.
