The Road to Yesterday highlights the breadth of Meghan Wilbar’s recent work from 2020 to 2023 created along a five-mile stretch of Highway 96 in southern Colorado. Wilbar’s ability to accurately capture the moodiness of site-specific landscapes comes from spending days on the side of the road, sketching plein air style from inside her car. The work on view includes Wilbar’s immersive oil paintings and innovative mixed-media, torn-paper collages.
