Madison Warp is an American visual artist from Denver, Colorado. Her practice revolves around visual narratives that explore topics ranging from socio-political and religious commentary on women’s rights to themes of feminine mental health through the lens of personal trauma. She received her BFA in 2021 from The University of Colorado at Boulder, where she continued on as a post baccalaureate student until 2022. Her work has been featured in local and national group exhibitions, including BMoCA’s ARTMIX and Friend of A Friend Gallery’s Back2School show in Denver. She was also an artist-in-residence at the New York Academy of Art’s 2021 Summer Undergraduate Residency Program. Currently, she is preparing for her first duo show with Tchotchke Gallery in New York for the summer of 2023, and hydrates her house plant with her remaining water bottle contents at the end of each day. The plant is still hanging in there, so is the artist.

Virtual Studio Tours are 30 min interactive programs that explore local contemporary artist studios. Artists take viewers behind the scenes of their studio practice with insights into their processes, inspirations and artwork. Moderated by BMoCA’s Associate Curator of Community Engagement this Instagram Live series is an initiative to support local artists and give viewers the opportunity to take a closer look at art practices and ask questions to contemporary artists.
