Javier Flores: Migration
October 2024 @ City of Bennett

Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA) and artist Javier Flores present Migration, a multi-site installation throughout Bennett. Spread between community serving facilities in town, Flores’ symbolic artworks span various traditional and inventive two-dimensional media. Between each site, Flores uses Meso-American and Mestizo motifs of animals, journey, power and topography to cross then hold space for necessary conversations experienced by and discussed regarding Mexican-Americans in our society today.

Locations:

  • Bennett Park & Recs Building

  • Adams County Motor Vehicle Building

  • Trupp Park
