Grace Gutierrez: Look at Us Know
April - October, 2025 @ Adams County

Location: Adams County Human Services Center
11860 N Pecos St, Suite 2200, Westminster, CO 80234

Grace Gutierrez uses forms, textures, and colors in her work to intentionally evoke a sense of inclusivity and belonging. She draws inspiration from the many stories, struggles, and successes and asks how those bring us closer as a community.

As an image of overcoming struggle together, the pack of coyotes stand proudly above an obstacle of chains. The paper mache cactuses remind us to embrace vulnerability and empathy, even when we’ve had to develop hard shells to survive. The orb of flamingos pays homage to Gutierrez's grandmother, a beacon of resilience and guidance. In a world that often feels fragmented, this installation serves as a gathering point - a shared space where individuals of all ages and from all walks of life can come together, not only to witness art but to witness each other.
