About Esoterra Culinary Garden
Esoterra Culinary Garden is a 2-acre no-till market garden whose mission is to grow a wide variety of specialty produce with exceptional culinary qualities for the area’s best chefs. Located on over 100 acres of land leased from the city of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, Esoterra and Farmer/Owner Mark DeRespinis are focused on cultivating a relationship with the soil, harvesting the land and celebrating beautiful produce that meets the ever-expanding needs of culinary creatives in the Denver/Boulder area. Esoterra provides delicious edibles for several local restaurants, including Corrida, Frasca, Pizzeria Alberico, Blackbelly, and Basta.

BMoCA has been gratified to work with Esoterra Culinary Garden as part of our exhibition agriCULTURE: Art Inspired by the Land.

About Chef Grant Buchanan
Chef Grant Buchanan’s technique-driven Colorado farm cuisine combines Paris, the South and the seasons. Originally from Atlanta, GA, Grant began his culinary career as a dishwasher and worked his way up the ranks, eventually receiving a double degree in Culinary Arts and Pastry Arts from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. As the Executive Catering Chef at Emory University in Atlanta, Grant had the opportunity to cook for notables including Former President of the United States Jimmy Carter, author Salman Rushdie and the Dalai Lama. After several years as the Executive Sous Chef at Vail Resorts, Grant came to Boulder County to found GB Culinary.

GB Culinary encompasses the skills acquired through a range of experience in varied settings, and its foothills farm promotes the clean, local and organic life Grant and his wife Kaylinn have always dreamed of.

About BMoCA’s Art Education Programs
BMoCA’s education programs use art as a vehicle for fostering creativity, life-long learning, self-expression, and community. Our seven arts education programs serve over 8,000 people annually at the museum, in schools, libraries, and retirement communities across the Denver-metro area. These free programs expand access to all the benefits and joys of learning through artistic expression, provide opportunities for participants to meet and work with local artists, and bring BMoCA’s exhibitions beyond the four walls of the museum, to underserved audiences throughout the region.

Thank you to our Presenting Sponsor, Frasier Retirement Community and Supporting Sponsor, Studio B Architecture + Interiors for supporting BMoCA’s Arts Education Programs.
