Frame of Reference is a survey of primarily mixed media work on paper and panel produced by Boulder-based artist, Amy Metier, during her repeat artist residencies in France, Ireland, and Italy from 2007 to 2022. The exhibition reveals how Metier’s ongoing connection to these localities has influenced her subject matter and abstract style through explorations in architecture, ancient ruins, rural landscapes, and still lifes.
